About The Tinsel Box
Where it all began
I’m Leslie—founder of The Tinsel Box, mom of three wild-hearted boys, and collector of all things nostalgic and sparkly. What started as a quiet obsession with vintage Christmas ornaments has grown into a curated shop for collectors, decorators, and sentimental souls who believe that every tree tells a story.
At The Tinsel Box, I specialize in sourcing authentic vintage Christmas ornaments—from delicate Polish indents to rare German and USSR figural glass ornaments. Each piece is hand-selected and wrapped with care— so you can decorate with confidence, meaning, and a little bit of magic.
A bit about me
I built The Tinsel Box during naptimes, late nights, and quiet hours—between diaper changes and school drop-offs. I’ve always believed that beautiful things deserve to be preserved, and that holiday traditions should be personal, not mass-produced.
This business is my love letter to vintage. It’s also proof that even in the chaos of motherhood and everyday life, there’s space for joy, beauty, and storytelling.

Why collectors trust The Tinsel Box
Every ornament is personally sourced and inspected before it is listed. I note age, condition, origin, and signs of wear as clearly as possible, especially when a piece has collector details worth knowing. Orders are packed with the care that fragile vintage pieces deserve, so these pieces can keep telling their stories for another season.
-
Most orders ship within three business days. Because these are fragile vintage pieces, each order is wrapped and packed by hand before it leaves The Tinsel Box. You’ll receive tracking as soon as your label is created.
-
Yes, whenever possible. If you place multiple orders before they ship, I’m happy to combine them when the ornaments can be packed safely together. If there is a meaningful shipping overage, I’ll refund the difference.
-
Each ornament is wrapped with protective materials and boxed with movement in mind. Fragile glass, indents, and figural ornaments are given extra cushioning so they can travel as safely as possible.
-
At this time, The Tinsel Box primarily ships within the United States. If you are outside the U.S. and have your eye on a specific piece, contact me before ordering and I can confirm whether shipping is possible.
-
Because these are vintage, one-of-a-kind pieces, all sales are generally final unless an item arrives damaged or there was an error in the listing. I encourage you to review the photos before purchasing. If something arrives damaged, contact me right away with photos so I can help.
